Increasing Active members means both in keeping their dues current and in participation in lodge activities, including frequenting visits to your social quarters and events.
Many of you have heard and we hope understand the many benefits to increasing our ranks, but these 4 points just cannot be overstated.
* More members mean a greater pool of volunteers and possibly future candidates to serve as officers or committee chairman.
* More members mean increased traffic and participation at functions and more business in the Social Quarters.
* More members mean a greater opportunity for support of our charitable endeavors, which lightens the load on all of us.
* More members mean greater success for the Lodge, which in turn means greater success for the order.

So with this said again here just what is stopping you from inviting your friends, relatives and associates into the Moose order. They then same as you have the opportunity to take advantage of Member Benefits program, that in many cases, can generate savings in just one transaction that will offset more than the price of a years dues. And you have the satisfaction of knowing that you are making a difference in the lives of children who would have very limited opportunities otherwise, in the lives of seniors who subscribe to the same beliefs as you and within the communities we are fortunate to serve. You as a member enjoy all of these privileges today - so why not share these gifts with many others.

July is upon us and we are gearing up for a busy month. Quite a few of us will be in Nashville until the 7th of July so we are all counting on the rest of the membership to go raise and lower the flags at the VA Hospital. If you have never done this, it will be an experience that you will never forget. This is such a beautiful sight to see when all the flags are all flying.

Then when we all get back we have to make sure everything is ready for the Celebration on the 16, 17 and the 18th. On Friday night of the celebration we will be serving pulled pork and the fixings, then on Saturday night we will have Steak and fixings. Come out and fellowship with members from all across the state.

The Lodge will be closed on Thursday, July 1. The Higher Degrees voted to skip this month's Dip Dinner as so many were going to be gone. So it was decided that the Lodge would be closed on July 1.
I would like to say thank you to the members that came to help clean up our lodge. You all worked very hard and with pride for our lodge.

In July there will be a new game that will be starting in place of the horseshoes. It is called the WASHER game and it is done on Saturday morning inside the lodge. That way you can stay cool. We will let you know just what Saturday it will start.

To Wayne and Ruth Short, Thank you for your contribution and hope you will enjoy the BIG MOOSE. Wayne, Beth wants proof that chickens do lay colored EGGS!!!!!

In closing, I would like to say thank you to the membership and also to say we need to get more people involved and join so we can have new blood, new ideas to make the lodge profitable. The only time the lodge is full is on new year*s eve, wouldn*t it be nice to have that crowd at meetings and on weekends???? The more the merrier.

Well, July is going to be a busy one.

First, the Lodge will be closed on Thursday, July 1. Most of the officers will be gone to Nashville and also the Higher Degrees voted to skip this month's Dip Dinner.

The first Friday, July 2nd, the meal will be Smoked Pork Butt with Baked beans and Coleslaw, Rolls, & Dessert for $6.00.

Several of the members will be going to Nashville during the first week of July. Please plan on going to the VA at 7am on the morning of the 4th. The Lodge is responsible for putting up the flags on the 4th and will be putting them down at 4:30pm. It is such a beautiful event.

The Youth Involvement Committee Dinner will be on July 9th instead of the 16th because the Legion Celebration will be here that weekend. Jeannie Lawson and her committee will be having Stuffed Pork Loin, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, salad, roll, & dessert for $7.00. Sunday Night the 10th the menu will be Hot pork loin sandwiches, mashed potatoes, & dessert for $4.00. Her fund raiser will be raffle of a Hand Quilted Red, White, & Blue Moose #877 Quilt.

Our Lodge wil be hosting the Legion Celebration on July 16, 17, 18.

If your name changes and you try to pay your dues through the Chapter, you will not be able to pay them because we won't have a record that you are a member and chances are you will not receive correspondence from the Moose either.
